Your questions answered

If you’re about to begin a healthcare journey, you’re likely to have a few questions. We’ve tried to answer the most common queries here - but if you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can always ask one of our friendly patient care advisors.

How do I book a new appointment?

For most diagnostic services, you can self-refer and our team will get back to you, or you can go ahead and book online here.

You can pay online for most services, too. If you’d like to speak to us before you book, you can always contact the Patient Care Team on 0330 057 5167.

Do I need a GP referral letter to book an appointment or can I self refer?

You can self-refer for most diagnostic services by filling in a short form, or simply book a convenient time at your preferred location online, or by phone. If you do have a referral letter from your GP or another medical professional, you can upload it here.

However, in some instances, we may need further clinical information. We will contact you if this is the case.

If needed, we offer a virtual GP consultation service where we can provide you with a referral and a follow-up consultation to discuss results.

What happens when I arrive for my appointment?

You’ll normally be asked to arrive at the centre 15 minutes before your appointment, unless told otherwise. This will give you time to relax and get comfortable. Our reception staff may also ask you to complete a safety questionnaire.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Most of the procedures we offer don’t require special preparation, although there are some exceptions. We’ve gathered some advice on preparing for a scan or screening session here, and there is more information and links on pages for individual services.

Can I bring someone with me when I attend?

Of course. It’s often a good idea to bring a friend or family member with you to the clinic for support, although depending on the procedure, they may not be able to enter the consultation room with you.

How do I check my appointment details?

We’ll send you an appointment reminder by email and text message (SMS), to help remind you of your upcoming appointment.

How do I book a follow-up GP appointment?

If you would like to book a follow-up GP appointment, simply contact our Patient Care Team by phone.

How do I book a private GP consultation?

If you’d like a referral letter from one of our GPs, or you’d like to discuss your results in a follow-up appointment, you can book online or by phone. If you arrange private GP consultations at the same time as you book a scan or screening session, you’ll benefit from a 20% discount on the consultation fee.

How do I log into an online virtual GP consultation?

Once you've booked your virtual GP consultation, you'll promptly receive an email confirmation containing the specific date and time of your appointment. Additionally, the email will include a link for you to access the virtual consultation. We recommend clicking on this link approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
