What Is A Woman’s Health Assessment?
A health assessment for women is a comprehensive health and wellness check that involves targeted blood tests and detailed imaging of your pelvic organs.
This helps detect a range of women’s health issues, from common conditions such as uterine fibroids and endometriosis, which occur in one in three and one in 10 women of reproductive age, respectively, to less common conditions such as ovarian cancer, which occurs in one in 50 women in the UK.

Your VistaWoman Health Assessment combines the power of targeted blood tests with high-resolution imaging called MRI. Initial GP Consultation
Start your journey with a 15-minute virtual appointment with one of our experienced GPs. This is your opportunity to discuss the details of your women’s health assessment and ask any questions you may have.

Blood Test For CA-125
You will be sent an at-home pinprick blood test kit. Once complete, pop this in the post to our lab where it will be analysed for levels of a protein called CA-125 (cancer antigen 125). Low levels of this protein are found in healthy women; however, raised levels of CA-125 can be a sign of certain types of cancer, including endometrial, fallopian tube, ovarian or peritoneal cancer, as well as other gynaecological conditions, such as uterine fibroids and endometriosis.

Pelvic Gynaecological MRI Scan
An MRI scan is an imaging tool that is non-invasive, safe and painless. It does not use radiation and instead uses powerful magnets and radio waves to create detailed images of the inside of your body. In women, a pelvic MRI scan can, therefore, help identify uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, tumours, endometriosis and other abnormalities.

Follow-Up GP Consultation
After your tests, you will receive a full report of your results and have a 15-minute virtual follow-up appointment with one of our expert GPs to discuss your results. They will provide personalised recommendations based on your findings, so you can better understand your health and make informed decisions about any next steps.
